I am the Founder and Director of Operations of Gracepoint Treatment Center, and my work in this field is deeply personal.
For more than 30 years, I struggled with addiction. My journey included repeated cycles of success and relapse, eventually leading to homelessness and active crack addiction. While I experienced periods of long-term sobriety along the way, it was not until I fully committed to treatment, Trauma therapy, sponsorship, and working the Twelve Steps that lasting recovery became possible.
Despite the chaos of addiction, I have always been an entrepreneur. Over the years, I built and operated several successful businesses, including a restaurant that grew from a three-table operation into a 200-seat establishment, as well as multiple real estate companies. Each time, addiction ultimately took control, and I lost what I had worked to build.
Twelve years ago, I entered treatment and made recovery my primary purpose. That decision transformed my life. One of my greatest accomplishments in sobriety has been building a family with my wife and becoming a father to our two daughters, Emma and Savannah.
Ten years ago, I entered the behavioral health field and helped build a treatment center that earned a strong reputation for ethical care, clinical integrity, and client outcomes. After a decade of experience, I chose to establish my own program, grounded in accountability, structure, and compassion.
In my role as Director of Operations, I am deeply involved in the day-to-day functioning of the program and maintain direct involvement with every client we serve. I believe effective treatment requires leadership presence, consistency, and personal accountability. I work closely with staff, clinicians, and clients to ensure that everyone receives personalized care, clear direction, and unwavering support throughout their recovery journey.
I do not come from a traditional academic background, nor do I hold formal credentials behind my name. What I bring instead is lived experience, operational leadership, and a hands-on approach that prioritizes connection, responsibility, and long-term recovery.
My story is not one of perfection, it is a story of resilience, transformation, and hope. That philosophy is the foundation of Gracepoint and guides everything we do.
